I wish I had lots of garden snakes. .

Oh Zuzu, be careful what you wish for!!!!!! Blinking
We have snakes in the pond, in the trees, in flower beds, under rocks, in the birdhouses, everywhere! My dogs are good at pointing at them. Both have been bitten at times, so they don't mess with them, but let me know when they see one. We have lizards and skinks, too, but they are the good guys. The skinks are so tame they will crawl over my feet when I'm sitting on the deck.
The dogs have learned to leave them alone because I talk sweetly when i see one. When I see a rabbit, i use a harsh tone and say "go get it" and off they go! Of course the rabbits feast all night when the dogs are inside. For a couple of months this spring, I saw no rabbits. We had a pack of coyotes in the yard every night and I think they even caught some of my neighbor's cats. Crying
Yesterday the wind stopped blowing. What an eerie feeling! I've been wishing for the wind to stop so I can use some Roundup on bindweed, so I jumped at the opportunity. Now I'm glad for the wind to be back--the mosquitoes and flies and everything else are a horrible nuisance when the wind is calm! Shrug!
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
