Last summer I collected seeds from my hybrid purslane in hopes of growing my own plants this year. Collecting wasn't easy since you have to time it right or you've lost the seeds. But the collected seeds germinated and I've planted them outside They haven't bloomed yet so I don't know if they'll revert to something less pretty.
I sowed the purlsane seed pretty much the same way you would portulaca seeds.
