Evan, that has been my experience with Lycoris as well, they tend to sulk for a couple of years when they've been disturbed or are newly planted.

Jmorth, I love that you've captured the blue tips of the petals in that last pic! They always look to me like they've been watered with blue dye the way the blue is concentrated toward the edges. Makes me think some day hybridizers will come up with a blue variety.
