Well, I don't have to worry about mulching my new roses; the old cottonwood trees will take care of that nicely. My problem will be finding them next spring!
DH bought me a big bag of tulips from Costco, but when I went to plant them, a LOT of them were rotten! I was really surprised and disappointed; Costco usually has excellent merchandise. I just stuffed them back into the bag and told him to return them next trip. It's not like they'd been sitting around for a long time...he just got them about a week ago and they were stored in a cool place. I'm thinking about taking Michigan bulb up on their $20 off on a $40 order and getting some different things.
