Oh, I didn't realize you aren't intimate with Coleus (yet.) I think you will have fun playing with them, especially if you have a variety of exposures. Most grow best in mostly shade, but many are also fine in every bit of full sun. For that reason, one can buy a single cultivar and have what looks like 3-4 different ones around the yard.

Trying to give an unknown Coleus a name is on par with trying to find the name of a Begonia. I think Begonias way out-number Coleus, which as of a few years ago, has over 2,000 named cultivars out there. But with the schizo-appearance thing that Coleus can do, it would be hard to be sure. I would be extremely hesitant to upload plants ID'd this way to a database as examples of a cultivar name. Also misunderstood your comment to mean they were photographed at a store, sorry.
