Apparently not. Ammonia is pretty pure stuff, NH3, right? You're the chemist. The articles I read says that it can leave some Nitrogen behind in the soil or medium, but doesn't harm the plant at all.

If you only use it on the Orchiata medium, then rinse the stuff after, I'd imagine there would be little if any residual.
