Here's the recipe, although you can vary things some depending on your taste, especially the spices.

Harvest Pie
3 to 4 apples depending on the size of your pie pan, and the size of the apples. I like to use more then one kind of apple.
1 Cup fresh cranberries (or frozen)
1/3 cup raisins (optional) I don't use these in this recipe.
2 Tbls. Orange zest
1/2 cup walnuts coarsely chopped
1 1/4 cup Sugar
4 Tbls. flour
1 teasp. cinnamon
1/4 teasp. nutmeg
1/8 teasp. ground allspice
2 Tbls. butter.

Mix all but the butter in a large bowl and pour into a prepared pie shell. Dot with butter, and put on the top crust. Sprinkle sugar on the top crust and bake in the center of your oven for 50 minutes to an hour or until golden brown .
I usually cut the top crust into the shape of leaves and place them on top of the filling. Then sprinlkle with sugar. It's a nice fall touch.
Politicians are like diapers, they need to be changed often, and for the same reason.
