dirtdorphins: I lived in the A&C house 50 years. Sold it 6 years ago and DD,SIL and I pooled our money and bought a big place that has a Mastersuite on one end aka ( my digs ) Tons of room for a garden.
Here are some shots of my A&C It had blue shingles and banana yellow trim for years.Then sided ,vinal that resembled wood.
The lot was small 40x120 garage at the back became a studio in 1973
this is 2005 I gardened in bug tubs.
Built a patio next to the studio.
Remodel the front entrance in 2006
Front had a drystaked wall and plants,I would do it differently today these pix are 2006 I sold 2007 at a loss because it was over developed for the neighborhood.
