Unbelievable what a chocolate brown wash can do!! David, how does it behave on concrete?

I am so jealous of you guys with studios and work spaces!! But equally happy for you as well.

Jo Ann, I know how hard it is to leave a place--having room to garden, and paint, and make pottery and whatever else has got to be good though. Please forgive my ignorance, but what is DD and SIL?

Regarding the chain-link-fake-flower-fence, part of the 'why' could be that a big cemetery is just a few blocks away and as demonstrated above, one man's trash is another man's treasure. Plus, and, there are two or three big dogs in the yard and they dig big holes and have it trampled down bare. I dunno, I've seen a lot of different methods and tried a few myself to cover chainlink. This one is unique and reminds me of a float in a parade.

We also have those 'communities' with five house styles, three house colors, and serious restrictions. Gardening especially, as in the yard design/layout is preordained, trees and shrubs are preselected and preplanted and the homeowner is allowed to add annuals and/or perennials only to certain places as long as they are under 2ft.
Egads! I would die. Where would I put the amaranth???
