Teasing Georgia is another possibility, and it does tend to grow taller than Jude the Obscure, but I remember people complaining about its vicious thorns, and the blooms seem different -- almost quartered rather than cupped.

Debra, you probably know how to find all of the thornless or almost thornless roses in our database, but in case you don't, here's the way to find them. Go to the main page of the Roses Database (accessible from any rose entry by clicking on "Roses Database" at the top of the page):

Click on "Search by characteristics" and then check the box saying "Thornless or almost thornless" on this page:
