Thx Ken, I saw your vanda with the healthy roots in the Spanish moss, at this point after I hydrate the moss and give it light and air over the humidifier I think I can better eval if it is still viable. It's breaking off when handled and crunchy sounding. But it's worth a try to see if it will come back from the dead!
This is my first vanda purchase, and it's dry in the house only getting to 40% humidity with 2 humifiers going. My new purchase from Carmella orchids is Ascda Suksamran Beauty 'Bubblicious'.
It came as two separate tip cuttings with good roots, one is in low spike and the other has two rootless side growths about 6 in high, which I left on of course. I put both in the only basket I had, when they get new roots I should have some 4 in baskets for them.
