I've grown baobab from seed before, but I can't remember how I started them, only that they sprouted easily. They made a pretty good house plant, but were really picky about watering when they were dormant in the winter. I tried different soils and amounts of watering, but in the end, lost them all within a few years. Some to over watering and some dried out completely from not enough water.
I've been starting tones of houseplants from seed too, its a lot of fun
