I have a few cleft grafts and they definitely are not my choice for appearance sake as opposed to the flat grafts. Most of mine are older and the graft has closed off.
Yours by the way it is off centered, almost looks that a double grafted scion could have been tried and one did not take?
Either way as Melissa stated, you can trim at a later date if wanted.
The flower will be the main focus and once in leaf will make a big difference.
