Cindi - WOW. That is a gorgeous tree! I definitely wanna see it when it's fully leaved out.. that's gonna be one pretty pretty tree! I have a 3 year old Royal Raindrops crabapple and I think this will be the first year that it'll actually get to bloom in my yard. I bought it in full bloom, the 2nd year (last year) we got that late late late freezes over & over & over (winter would NOT let go!) and so none of my crabs bloomed, but this year everything's being patient so we'll probably get blossoms! Yay!! I know that even my Canadian Chokecherry's waiting, and that is usually an impatient tree.
Of your new roses, I had Hannah Gordon, but she didn't survive her first winter with me. Others I don't have, so I'll have to watch yours & see how yours do before I venture out. I'm being more & more cautious with what I'm buying because I'm running out of room! stinking dogs need *their* part of the yard, otherwise I'd have taken over most of that area too. And the west side of the house doesn't get enough sun (less than 4 hours) and the roses I've tried there never fared well, so I'm stuck with the east side of the house. I already have around 200ish roses on that side, so definitely starting to run out of space. I just need to see what survived & what didn't. That, and I do have my shipment from Palatine coming in an few weeks... end of the month!
