Hi Caroline,
I am no expert by any means, but since no one has commented yet, I thought I would give my 2 cents *Blush*
Last year, I put about 1/4 cup of bone meal in the hole of each area that I planted my tomatoes and peppers. Also,
I save my egg shells and dry them and put them in my blender to make a powder out of them. And that, I sprinkle around each plant. I will do that again each year because I had the most wonderful and productive tomatoes and peppers EVER. Hurray! I don’t know if that helps you at all. I don’t really know scientifically why it helped them so much, but it sure was wonderful to reap the rewards. Lovey dubby

Happy gardening,
Toni
