I recently put together this small frame with screening over the top. Every time I clear any new space for bulbs, seeds, or plants the squirrels take it as an open invitation to come dig. I have planted several things recently and just as soon as I turn my back those darn squirrels are out there digging it up. Seeds planted directly in the garden don't stand a chance of surviving.
So I figure this should at least give the seeds a change to sprout before they get transplanted or destroyed.
