Your soil is fine! If you feel like mixing some chick grit in you can, I usually use 1/5 to 1/4 (If its a quart, than I use less than a pint of chick grit - but I don't measure, I just go by the look/feel) then as a top dressing I use more than an inch (about 2 inches) so that the weeds stay under control! You'll definitely notice a difference! They'll begin to "pop" Lovey dubby your geese!


WOW, maybe that is why mine are going so good this year! I added some to my "homemade" soil last year when I made my semp. bed. Now I know I'm not nuts if other plant people add it. nodding I have give it to my chickens.
