I've only had it since 2011, grown from seed that was wild-collected from the Batura Glacier area in Pakistan. A couple of plants have overwintered twice but they are still very small so I don't expect any blooming this year. Other rock gardeners here grow it very successfully, and have it self-sowing. When/if mine form flower stalks, I will just let them bloom to (hopefully) shed seeds. (The blooming is rather an anticlimax with this plant, since it's the foliage that's the show)
