Hi! I need some advice and I hope someone here can help me .....

I was repotting my Silver Moon clematis vine and the vine accidentally broke off at the crown. I am sick about it! It's a pruning category 2. Do you think it will grow back or did I kill this beautiful vine? It is 3 years old and has a good root system. It also had lots of branches coming off that main vine trunk. It had just finished blooming, so it was very healthy and looking great! I can't believe the main trunk broke off at the root base like that. Ugh! (sigh) Crying
