It is the dormancy time..some are dormant in cold season, some in warm season, then factor in cold and heat tolerance.

I used to take those things for granted, but I have now learned to adjust my watering and always use containers with drainage whichever type it is.

I am still learning too..still killing some and usually wrong timing in watering Hilarious! Hilarious!
