A friend of mine asked me to post these photos here for her, as it's difficult for her to post images from her computer. @sunday

I hope someone can help her, as these things sound awful! Crying

I am seriously thinking this may be how a 15 ft seedling magnolia died. or at least the larvae. The only close thing I could find was the black vine weevil, but every description says they only come out at dark. These things are on all day. When I get too close, they drop off and it sounds like it's raining.
