I just googled it and there is quite some information about it. Now the only person here (that I know of ) growing Cyp hybrids is Kathy/ @boojum.
I myself don't want to guess, since my experience is limited to oberserving Cyp acaules in nature.
Slugs are certainly a problem, I probably would have tried to eliminate the Slugs around the plants as they were in the ground.
