We have a road median near Selby Gardens here that has been planted last fall with the orange Epidendrum, Glen. Drove past them yesterday and they are in full bloom, several blocks of 20ft. wide boulevard in the full, blazing sun. I have some here that have been 'overtaken' by the jungle, and now I really must rescue them, as they've stopped blooming already.
