Hi Sallysmom: You don't say what state you're in region wise, but when you say 8b and it's hot and humid, I'll guess your in the Southern or Southeastern states. In that case the best time to transplant them would be anytime from late October through early December. For those living in cooler zones of 6b and lower, they can be moved as a clump without disturbing the roots, preferably immediately after blooming. But in the far Southern and Southeastern US it stays too hot too long and it's best to wait till later. Mark them now and don't forget to 'water them in well' once after transplanting.
