Those are close-ups so yours may be as big. Hosta seed, in my experience, does not need a chilling period. I have planted them in containers in Jan or Feb and covered the container with plastic wrap or put the whole works into a plastic bag. My seed starts to germinate in about a month and as they grow on I remove the cover.
