Thanks, Zuzu. It's been a frantic week, and my brain is on overload.
We ended up with some surprise visitors yesterday, so I didn't get photos of the last lovely roses before the temps dipped to 26.
I left the order as is. The ground is still very warm and easy to work, so I think I can get 14 holes dug and ready for the roses by the end of November. Last year I got lazy and didn't dig the holes deep enough to let those long roots extend, and a few had their grafts above ground. The mulch blew away, and the roses suffered. It would sure be nice to have deep snow this winter.
