Yesterday Sunday, Nov. 2nd, marked the end of the growing season at my place when the temperature dropped to 30.4'F and was below 32'F for several hours. Dalias, Zinnias, all cooked! Pansies survived.

Photo taken Saturday, Nov. 1st. after Friday 40 to 60 mph windstorm

It took the wind and blowing mist from the waves on Lake Michigan, but it couldn't handle the calm and cold. These photos taken yesterday, Sunday AM, Nov. 2nd. How many of you knew that Nasturtiums will climb rocky ledges if they can find a place to wedge a leaf?
