Maybe Prince of Orange conveys a screaming orange in our minds just as nepeta Walker's Low could confuse those who don't know it was named for the town where it was first growing and think it's a ground hugger. We need more truth in advertising regarding names/colors, etc. but that's just dreaming. If they named that phlox "Could be orange depending on what it's planted next to", I doubt it would get the good press.

One of the most breathtaking displays I've ever seen at any nursery was a wide row of very orange cosmos backed up by (probably) May Night salvia. That was a show stopper I still can recall from more than 25 years ago.
