What a great find for you up in Austin! I dislike very much that potting soils come with "3 months of fertilizer" included. Some seedlings and plant starts don't need all that much fertilizer, whatever they put in itI like to be in control of my plants. So I mix my custom mix. Not custom by me, but custom to the plant. I start out with tops soil then add perlite, compost, and often add manure or peat depending on what I am planting. If Ladybug were near me, or if I could find a soil that I like and can afford, I wouldn't be doing all this hard work! (I actually love it!)
Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love Truly, Laugh
uncontrollably, And never regret anything that made you Smile.
