Ask Seedfork. I am soo bad with a camera chelle, I have got to the point where I dread (PHYSICALLY DREAD) even trying to snap a pic. I keep saying I'll do it, but it never happens. Seedfork (Larry) is trying to "talk me through it" but we're not making much progress.
Ooo I just see you have "rock gardens" as your new interest. I sort of fell into rock gardening...my property is on a slope and at the top, there's an outcropping of limestone....at first, I worked hard to cover this up with soil then one day "lightning struck" and instead I dug it out! Huge smooth slabs of limestone with cracks and fissures all through them, lying at about a 30 degree angle...not so steep you can't plant in it. I' started out with very basic stuff...sedums, some thyme, but I'd like to try some more unusual alpines.
