Almost 30 years ago I purchased 6 (1 gallon) containers of a tagged, blooming daylily from a very reputable local nursery. The tags were stapled to the containers and were printed tags with color photos.

The DL was named Dragon Lore and the tag stated that the plant was "an evergreen in warmer climates: blooms late Spring on 22-24 in stalks with 3 to 7 blooms per stalk. repeat blooms until frost. Cut back foliage in mid-summer to 6-8 inches for a tidy healthy plant: grow in full sun: color does not fade"

This is what the bloom looks like, and has not changed in all this time...(the color is true to the flower) The petals have an iridescence to them in sunlight. Can anyone here shed some light on who this may be? (since I have been unable to document, I have been calling it "little black dragon NOID'.

This very pretty daylily does not match any current description/picture I can find for that name.

Thanks for your help,
Jean
