Perhaps you could grow something with lemon-scented foliage in your GH. You would actually have to crush a leaf and rub it on your skin for it to repel the critters. I heard about this on a podcast at youbetyourgarden.com. Howard Garrett (The Dirt Doctor) is really big into mosquito traps instead of spraying. He's in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. You can get more details at his website on making mosquito traps. I bet TX is going to be carried away by mosquitoes after all of the rain you folks have been getting. Our property here is adjacent to wooded wetlands so we've had to try different things. I hate spraying the yard but thoughts of West Nile virus is even scarier.
