Like Cindy said, get some Mosquito Dunks. You can get them at Lowes, Home Depot etc. I take a pair of scissors and cut off bits and stick them in the drain trays under my plants in the greenhouse and anywhere where water might accumulate. I also use about a quarter of a dunk in all of my watering cans. Problem solved. It's a biologic control .. not a poison/chemical - Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis - a naturally occurring soil bacteria.
