I saw a case of this recently. Important evidence was discovered in an episode of "Backstrom" when one of their "experts" identified the bouquet of roses delivered to the murder victim as Ebb Tide, which he called a "rare varietal, available only in a few specialty shops." There's nothing "rare" about Ebb Tide.
