Oooh, that Robin Egg is so pretty but it's Crying that it ended up on the ground. A couple of months ago I saw a crow flying with what looked to be a white egg in it's mouth and at at least five mockingbirds in chase! Also, earlier this year my neighbor had mockingbirds nesting in a small shrub in her yard and she showed me a small freshly broken mockingbird egg on the sidewalk in front of her house. I figured a predator bird probably dropped it as it was being pursued and dive bombed by the adult mockingbirds.
