I have attached a picture of my Madagascar Palm. Actually this is a branch from a large plant I had that was blown over during Hurricane Gustave. This branch broke off and I planted it in potting soil to see if it would grow. That was a few years back and it appears to be doing ok. I am wondering if it will ever get as large as the original (6') plant. Will the bulbous trunk appear or will this stay as is. Just wondering how this plant will look in a few years. My large palm was done in by the hard winter we had a couple of years ago. I have since acquired another to replace. Thanks for the help.
