I take cuttings in early fall. Stick them in 3"pots with good potting soil and let the sit outside until it gets too cold. By that time they have rooted. I keep them in a South facing window and by early spring most are getting leggy, so I take cuttings from the cuttings and start them in ore 3" pots. About a third do die overwinter, probably because I often forget to water enough.
