I call this flower bed my flag pole bed. The left side of it is in memory of my father and the right side is in memory of my mother. This is my dad's side. I have a couple old anchors in there. Dad loved to fish. Behind the Black-eyed Susan is a large mushroom. Dad loved to mushroom hunt. On the other side is the top part of a cigarette stand that was my dads. My dad also loved his pets, his dogs, although they weren't Basset Hounds like the one pictured. Dad was a Veteran and fought in WW ll.
This is my mom's side. Mom also loved to fish and loved her pets. My mom's name was Rose which is why I planted a red Knock out Rose Bush on each of their sides. Mom loved to knit, crochet, quilt, and do most anything with her hands. They were both religious as are we. They loved growing their own vegetable and I can remember snapping beans and shucking peas from the pods. Mom helped to teach me how to pressure can my veggies.
They will both be forever in our hearts and thoughts.
