Same here. I pull but as older plants get weak or die I let new ones grow in. I had different varieties at one time but now they have all been cross pollinated and are unique. I love watching the goldfinch eat the seeds in the late summer & fall. I have both Echinacea & rudbekia & both reseed well here.
