Another way to propagate honeysuckle is serpentine layering. Simply bend a piece of the vine to the soil (on the ground or pot) and cover with soil. Be sure to bury at least one node and you may want to pin it down so that it doesn't accidentally come out. Some people recommend wounding the plant slightly other say it's not necessary.
