Thanks zuzu, that makes sense. I got confused when I noticed at the Parent Plant entry for
Adeniums (Adenium) that it stated "The information below is applicable to all Adeniums" but I saw that the area was blank, no information at all, only photos ... and no way to enter information and I didn't realize that with the Parent Plant Entries, only database administrators could enter info. I found the Catalogue of Life listed at least a dozen species and also a few subspecies of Adenium:
http://www.catalogueoflife.org... and I thought the growing conditions would probably be the same for all in that genus but I do realize that of course that may not be the case so I need one of those "smack myself in the head" emoticons. It probably is best to have the Parent Plant entries filled in by administrators only ... or
y'all would be having to make a lot of corrections due to my erroneous input. I do appreciate all the hard work you administrators you and the other administrators do for us ... keeping us in line ... correcting our mistakes etc.
