Plus, in this case, the garden folks drop freshly harvested produce off at my house, and take me to the store if needed. Good Samaritans helped me keep my house and keep the lights on a couple of years back. A couple of food pantries helped keep groceries in the cabinets during that time, a time during which I had two teenagers and two toddlers staying with me. And...every plant I dig out frees space for something new.
