I agree now it looks like you have this more "squarish" and "flat" than slanted or "v" shaped. I should try this. Not sure until when can I graft without the plant going dormant. I'm guessing August would be the last month for me to try this again.

Now where did you buy your grafting tape? HD and Lowe's don't carry them.
