Tom, I so agree on the color of the daylilies this year. I just cannot believe what I am seeing. I did start the alfalfa pellets last fall so I have to factor that in with the rain, but it is just a joy to go out and look at the garden every morning. This is the best year I have had for flowers in all my years of gardening. I have plants that struggled with one scape for years, and now they have ten. I have lilies coming up that disappeared years ago, and the size of the flowers is just amazing. I have not had to water one time this year which is unbelievable for this area. It will be raining again later this week, so no dragging hoses around.

A friend who is a terrific photographer came out yesterday and took a ton of pictures. He is going to make me a disc so I have a keepsake of the gardens if we move. It sounds really corny, but the beauty this year brings tears to my eyes when I stand out there.
Happiness is doing for those who cannot do for themselves.
