I'm no expert by any means. I was just thinking if these two new growths are thriving, then perhaps that original growth/stick is just giving anything and everything it has to supporting the newbies (as it's not grown even a millimeter). I'll keep watering, sun and food and see what happens. It's not going to get cold here again for many months, so I have time.
