Yes, looks like a "Century Plant" Agave americana....these are cast iron plants. That is just a little wound that's healing nicely. They do really well in FL. Some day, that plant will be as big as a VW beetle. Smiling The best care for these agaves is to ignore them! Don't overfertilize, don't overwater, don't prune them unless they are threatening you hanging over a walkway. Watch out for the spiny tips....they really hurt!
