Greg, if there is any branch near the ground scrap a bit of the hard woody outer coating off. Then dig up a patch of soil so it's soft and put the branch on that and cover with soil, don't cut it of the mother plant. Then set a small rock on the part that is in the ground. I bett there will be roots in a year, maybe late spring.
