With the scapes already set before shipping they would bloom after arrival unless something caused them to abort. It is several weeks between the time a scape is initiated and when it actually blooms.





The climate where he grows is also quite different than where many of these plants were bred and therefore his mid season is often later. May and June along the California coast tend to be quite cool and grey so the plants may be adjusted to when things warm up later in the year.
