I think @cinta is on the right track with the rat tail cactus.But all the images I've looked at of the rat tail seem to be hanging down were mine is trying to grow up. It gets well over 8 hours of direct sunlight a day. I have also been told it looks like "The Old Man of the Andes". I'm curious to know if anyone who is familiar with that cactus agrees.
