Different catalogs come out at different times, as early as January. Ordering early gives you best selection. But ordering late can give you some good deals, like this one:

3 peonies for the price of 2. It has been a really nice fall here for planting late. The ground is very workable yet and this week, the first week in November, usually quite cold, is gorgeous .
